Sasi wasn't sold on Kita Studios at all.

He'd already studied UI/UX at Republic Polytechnic, completed his freelance social media career arc, and honestly? He didn't even like designing websites.

Committing to a six-month programme felt like a gamble.

"But I thought, why not give it a try?" he said. (Spoiler: good call.)

Day one of Studios hit different.

Morning energizers, teamwork challenges, trainers who actually treated them like adults instead of kids who needed babysitting — it pulled him in. The vibe was real and Sasi started surprising himself. He was solving problems, making decisions, gaining confidence he didn't realise he was building.

Then came the capstone project: a social media revamp for Minds Café. It sounded straightforward until it wasn't. Out of five teammates, only one other person pulled their weight.

"Mentally, it felt like a final-year uni project," Sasi recalls, "I was so tempted to give up."

But quitting isn't his style, so he pushed through (Note from Kita Team: We're tearing up). They created something they were actually proud of.

Demo Day was a whole different ball game. Standing in front of everyone, tough questions flying, Sasi's legs started shaking.

"Bro, I was trembling," he laughs. In a split-second move, he ditched his script and freestyled the entire presentation.

Risky? Yes.

Memorable? Absolutely.

That moment taught him something crucial: he could trust himself, even when the ground felt shaky.

These days, Sasi also dabbles in emceeing (he even hosted Kita's official launch, no biggie). "It taught me to adapt to all kinds of people and stay composed when things get unpredictable," he explains.

TLDR; he's gotten good at rolling with whatever comes his way.

Now having secured a full time role at Hatch, Sasi's found his groove. "I'm happy to be here! There's no micromanaging, and I can grow at my own pace."

He's also dreaming bigger — planning a clothing brand that uses recycled, customised, one-of-a-kind pieces. Creative skills meeting impact work? That's the plan.

He's also got some advice for anyone considering joining Kita Studios. "Go with it, finish it and take every moment seriously. It's an opportunity you don't wanna miss."

Translation: Stop overthinking it. Just show up.
