Stepping into Kita as a mentor, Shohini brought music, boundless energy and a keen curiosity about how youths move through life’s twists and turns.

We loved having her in our programmes, so when she asked to partner with us for the launch of her new single, Blueprint, and raise funds for Kita’s programmes, we were thrilled.

“Come join me on a journey to find out what you’d keep, change and let go.”

The evening was intimate and full of heart. Shohini invited guests to reflect on their journeys as they built their personal “blueprint” for life. Strangers quickly became friends, sharing stories, laughter and even a few tears. Truly a beautiful reminder of how music and reflection can spark real connection.

Shohini’s sound – pop with hints of jazz, rock and funk – carried her message loud and clear: we all have choice, agency and the power to shape our lives. Her songs resonate with anyone who’s ever doubted themselves, faced loss or simply wanted to feel seen. Paired with her stories and reflections, it was a night that left everyone inspired.

Beyond the music, the event made a real impact. Funds raised went directly to Kita, supporting:

• Kita Space’s community dinners and gatherings, building supportive networks and belonging.

• Kita Labs’ hands-on projects, helping youths discover interests and strengths.

• Kita Studios’ skills training and job placement, giving youths confidence and tools to step into industries they care about.

We’re so grateful to Shohini for partnering with us, and we can’t wait for more collaborations in the future.
