“Loving you might be the simplest thing I've ever known”
Late at night, Insyirah would trace words into her notepad, capturing fleeting conversations and quiet moments, turning them into poems. Writing was her anchor – a space where she could be herself, a rhythm of thought and feeling she could hold onto when the world felt too fast. Poetry became more than expression; it was a mirror, reflecting both what she carried and what she wished to explore.
“In the corner, I linger. A silent specter in the fray”
She often felt out of place – shaped by expectations that never seemed to match who she was. Poetry offered a quiet rebellion, somewhere she could exist on her own terms. Encouraged by a teacher at fifteen, she promised herself she would pursue writing seriously.
“In every space, my soul strives”
Through Kita Studios and later Kita Labs, Insyirah found a community that fueled her curiosity. Friends she met there encouraged her to experiment and try ideas she had long hesitated to explore. It was within this circle that she took part in the $100 Project, investing in a dream she had nurtured since childhood: publishing her first poetry book, capturing four years of her life and reflections.

Her exploration didn’t stop at that page. At Kita’s Beat Making Lab, she paired words with music, creating a form of spoken word that resonated beyond the silence of paper. Sound and poetry intertwined, each note accentuating emotion, each pause emphasising intention.
“Don’t hesitate, approach what’s meant to appear”
Her creations embody more than poetry – it carries her persistence, curiosity and the quiet courage of trying new things. Through the textures of rhythm and reflection, she shares a glimpse of how she is finding her place in the world.
“Yet, every heart deserves a love, strong and clear, a love where doubt won’t linger, where there’s no fear.”
Even today, Insyirah continues to draw energy from Kita Space, a place where ideas and creativity circulate. Already, she’s dreaming of her next project: a work that blends poetry and visual art; a continuation of her exploration of form, voice and expression.

Her journey reminds us that growth is rarely linear, and that the spaces where we experiment and connect often shape the most meaningful work. Insyirah’s poetry is both a record and a compass – an ongoing conversation with herself, her community and the world she’s determined to make her own.
“Be kind to yourself, dear friend, in this earthly space, you’re not unyielding stone but a woman, alive, remember to love yourself; in self-love, you’ll thrive.”
