“Loving you might be the simplest thing I've ever known”
Late at night, Insyirah would trace words into her notepad — fleeting conversations, quiet moments, feelings she couldn't quite say out loud.
Writing was her thing. Her anchor. The one place where the world slowed down enough for her to actually breathe and make sense of everything swirling around in her head.
“In the corner, I linger. A silent specter in the fray”
She often felt like she didn't fit, shaped by expectations that never matched who she actually was. Poetry became her quiet rebellion, a space where she could exist on her own terms.
Encouraged by a school teacher at fifteen, she made herself a promise: she'd pursue writing seriously.
One day.
“In every space, my soul strives”
Through Kita Studios and later Kita Labs, Insyirah found people who understood her. Friends who encouraged her to try things she'd been too scared to explore. It was here that she joined the $100 Project and finally went for it, publishing her first poetry book.
Four years of her life, her reflections, her growth, all bound together in something tangible she could hold.
And she didn't stop there.
At Kita's Beat Making Lab, she started pairing her words with music, creating spoken word pieces that felt alive in a completely different way. Sound and poetry intertwined: each note pulling out emotion, each pause landing with intention.
It was poetry, but louder.

“Don’t hesitate, approach what’s meant to appear”
Her work isn't just pretty words on a page.
It's persistence. Curiosity. The quiet courage it takes to keep trying new things even when you're unsure where they'll lead.
Through rhythm and reflection, she's carving out her place in the world — one verse, one beat, one experiment at a time.
“Yet, every heart deserves a love, strong and clear, a love where doubt won’t linger, where there’s no fear.”
These days, Insyirah still hangs out with us at Kita Space, soaking up the creative energy and bouncing ideas around. She's already dreaming up her next project: something that blends poetry and visual art. Because why stop at one medium when you can explore them all?

Her journey's a good reminder that the spaces where we mess around and connect often lead to the most meaningful work. Insyirah's poetry is both a record of where she's been and a compass for where she's going.
It's an ongoing conversation with herself, her community and the world she's determined to make her own.
“Be kind to yourself, dear friend, in this earthly space, you’re not unyielding stone but a woman, alive, remember to love yourself; in self-love, you’ll thrive.”
